Our sophisticated Fraud Detection Program regularly monitors card transactions for signs of suspicious activity outside your normal spending patterns, like international transactions or an authorized transaction over the dollar limit or over the transaction limit.

Receive immediate, free notification* when we identify a suspicious transaction.

Text alerts will work with the following cards: MasterMoney® (debit cards), Business MasterMoney® (debit cards) and ATM cards.

If potentially fraudulent transactions appear to be taking place, we'll contact you immediately to verify their authenticity.

Getting in Touch with you Quickly is Critical to Stopping Potential Card Fraud.

Here's how it works...

  • You'll receive a text message that contains the name of our bank, the dollar amount of the transaction, the name of the merchant and a reply code. Please don't reply to the message with any personal or confidential information.
  • If you authorized the transaction, simply ignore the alert.
  • If you didn't authorize the transaction, text the reply code back to us. You'll receive a text message confirming that your card is now blocked. Please contact FNBT's ATM department to order a new card.
  • If you'd like to opt out of receiving these important text messages, simply reply with the word STOP. You will no longer receive text alerts and your cell phone number will be removed from this service.

Ways to help us protect you...

  • Keep us up-to-date on your mobile and home phone numbers and other pertinent contact information.
  • If you plan to travel out of the area or out of the country, contact the bank to let us know. We will advise the Card Issuer of your plans so they do not block your card. If you attempt to make a transaction from another country without alerting us in advance, it may be denied (many foreign countries are automatically blocked). Additionally, if you wish to make a purchase from an international merchant, contact the bank beforehand as many internet merchants are based out of the United Kingdom and will be automatically blocked.

* Text messages to your mobile device are free, but all other fees on calls and texts are subject to the terms of your voice/data plan with your mobile carrier.

To unsubscribe from this service, Login to Your Account, click the tab for Devices and then under the Actions column, click delete next to the device you would like to unsubscribe.You may discontinue the receipt of Alerts immediately by texting the word STOP in reply to a Guardian Alert. Cardholders can also discontinue alerts by texting the word STOP to 27576.

FNBT determines what types of transactions will generate a text message. You will receive alerts sent to your cell phone (or other SMS text messaging device) for enrolled VISA, MasterCard, or ATM cards. The number of alerts you receive will be based on your card usage. You will not receive more than one message per transaction on each enrolled card.

Some mobile service providers require that we send a 30-day subscription reminder message to their customers participating in the smsGuardian program. Cardholders will receive an alert message every 30 days reminding them of the subscription if their mobile service provider is Sprint, Nextel, Boost or Virgin. The alert message will display as: "Reminder: You have subscribed to Guardian transaction alerts for FNBT. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help. Reply STOP to cancel."
